We discovered the other day that Emily has a new favorite food....mashed potatoes and gravy. She didn't much care about the potatoes until I put on the gravy...then she couldn't get enough.
The love of mashed potatoes and gravy is a delicacy that has been handed down through the generations in my family. They are my favorite food, my Dad's favorite food, they were my Grandpa's favorite food and I'm not sure beyond that.
I beamed with pride as I shared the joyful news with my Dad to which he responded that she was Grandpa's girl.
Indeed.
